We at International Needs New Zealand and International Needs Humanitarian Aid Trust (“International Needs” “We” or “Our”) always strive to be responsible in our management, truthful in our advertising, cost effective in our fundraising, and maintain the highest standard of stewardship. We have been ministering to the poor and suffering since 1974 and continually work to ensure that every dollar is used to its fullest for this purpose.
We provide our Donor Privacy and Information policy so that you can be aware how we use your personal information and can have confidence that your personal information is safeguarded.
Does International Needs collect your personal information?
Yes, we need to collect personal information from you, including the following:
- Your name
- Contact information
- Location
- Interactions with us
- Donation or sponsorship information (including amounts and method of payment)
Why do you need this information?
We collect your personal information in order to solicit donations, contact you to update you about our work and the work of our partners, to assist us in deciding which projects our donors are most likely to support, to thank you for your generous support, and to issue donation receipts to you.
How does International Needs protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your information when you make a donation, and/or submit or access your personal information.
We offer the use of a secure payment system through a third-party payment provider. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via re CAPTCHA technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider’s database which is only accessible by those authorized with access rights to such systems and who are required to keep the information confidential.
Do you share information?
Besides our internal staff, volunteers and board members, we may need to share this information (on a strictly confidential basis) with:
- Our accountants and auditors, in order to comply with our statutory duties as a registered charity.
- Inland Revenue, to comply with our legal and tax obligations.
- Our affiliated International Needs branches overseas (who often carry out projects that International Needs New Zealand funds with your generous support), for the reasons described above.
International Needs does not sell, rent, lease or exchange your personal information with external organisations.
Do I have to give information to you?
Providing information is optional. However, we require payment information in order to process donations and if you choose not to enter your contact details, we will be unable to issue donation receipts to you.
Can I access personal information that you hold about me?
Yes you have the right to receive a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.

Payment Options
We accept payment using the following major credit cards; Visa and Mastercard.
If you choose to pay by credit card, you authorise us to debit the amount that is payable for the donation amount and regularity you chose, from your nominated credit card.
If you do not wish to pay by Credit Card we accept bank deposits. Our bank account number is 02-0432-0234652-00
Currency and Tax
All amounts stated on the website are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST. All credit card payments are processed securely in New Zealand dollars by our partner, Blackbaud. We do not store any credit card information on this website.
How do we keep your payment information secure?
We use Blackbaud Merchant and Payment Services to process all credit card transactions made through this website. We neither store nor collect credit card information directly on this website. If you choose to make your donation a recurring one such as a monthly sponsorship or regular recurring gift subscription, your credit card details will be stored securely by Blackbaud Merchant and Payment Services for processing on the agreed intervals.
Refunds
All payments we process are considered donations and therefore are not applicable for a refund. If you wish to cancel a recurring gift please ensure you allow 5 working days for this request to be processed.
Registered Charity Information
International Needs incorporates two charities both registered in New Zealand:
- International Needs New Zealand CC10941 for local office or international ministry use.
- International Needs Humanitarian Aid CC50312 for all overseas aid, development and humanitarian purposes.
Both Charities have the same bank account number: 02-0432-0234652-00.
