Cancer patients and people have access to much-needed food. Approximately 100 people receive food each week.
The Hospital Food Support Programme
Providing nourishment and care for terminally ill patients through community action.
Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

The Project
International Needs Vietnam is a volunteer-driven team that runs various community initiatives. Currently, their focus is on supporting terminally ill patients in two hospitals by providing essential services like food support and free haircuts.
Objectives
- The primary aim of this initiative is to provide practical assistance to terminally ill patients who face food insecurity and lack access to personal care services, helping to improve their quality of life during their hospital stay.
Due to limited resources, the hospitals are unable to provide sufficient food for all patients, and many patients cannot afford to buy meals. Every Tuesday, 100 meals are distributed to the patients, alongside a free haircutting service. This initiative ensures that the patients receive not only nourishment but also dignity and care through personal grooming.
Impact
The food and haircut services bring immediate relief to patients struggling with basic needs in the hospital setting. This practical support helps alleviate the burden of food insecurity and offers a small but meaningful gesture of care, contributing to the overall well-being of the patients during a difficult time.
You can support this initiative by donating financially to help cover the cost of meals, or contributing resources to help maintain the free haircutting service. Every contribution makes a significant difference to the lives of those in need.
A miracle that changed a community
Seven-year-old Thuy’s ordinary day turned tragic when she accidentally fell into a lake. Her family found her an hour later, lifeless and in desperate need of help. Rushed to a children’s hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, the doctors delivered heartbreaking news: “Only God can save her.”
Fortunately, a small group of International Needs community workers was visiting the hospital at that moment. They shared God’s love and healing power with Thuy’s family, who placed their hope in Him.
A week later, against all odds, Thuy was sitting up and reading a children’s Bible! When community workers visited her hometown to celebrate her miraculous recovery, they shared the gospel with her family. That day, 15 of Thuy’s relatives accepted Christ as their Savior.
Thanks to supporters like you, community workers in Vietnam can step into challenging situations, sharing Christ’s love, praying with the hurting, and bringing hope to those in need.
